BIPOC Women Organizing




It is essential to recognize and celebrate the crucial role played by BIPOC women in the history of Little Burgundy. From the founding of the Colored Women's Club to the present day, they have brought their communities together by creating networks of resources, services and activities in their neighborhoods. Looking at history through the lens of intersectionality allows us to begin to understand the everyday realities of BIPOC women and their instrumental role in advocating for their rights. This non-exhaustive list highlights the active role played by women in strengthening their communities through the creation and involvement of organizations in Little Burgundy.
